The bill (Reg. No. 6363) amends clauses 2 and 13 of the Law "On Foreign Investment Regime" to regulate registration of foreign investments.
The committee members stated that on adoption of the Law "On Amendments to several Legislative Acts of Ukraine regarding Promotion of Foreign Investment and Crediting" on April 27, 2010, clauses 2 and 13 of the Law "On Foreign Investment Regime" were redrafted. Therefore, the bill should be amended.
The Central Scientific Experts Office also believes that a new version of clause 13 can restrict the rights of foreign investors, which might not conform to the regime of the most favourable treatment and might negatively influence the international image of Ukraine.
